The Nursing College is a subsidiary institution attached to the National Eye Care Center in Kaduna. Before applying for admission, there are requirements you need to have before you can be eligible to purchase the admission and only candidates who meet these requirements will be invited for the entrance examination. The requirements include:
- Professional Qualification: You must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
- Experience: You must have at least one (1) year of post-qualification experience.
- Academic Records: You must possess five (5) credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. These must be obtained in no more than two sittings via WAEC and/or NECO.
How to Apply for Admission
Application for admission is done online, and it is in two stages. The first stage is the payment stage, which is done on Remita, while the second stage is application registration, which is done on the school portal. The breakdown of each of the stages is:

The application fee is Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000), payable via the Remita platform.

- Click on “Pay TSA & States” and select “FGN: Federal Government of Nigeria.”
- Fill out the billing form using this exact format:
- Name of MDA: National Eye Centre, Kaduna.
- Name of Service/Purpose: Select “Education Revolving Fund.”
- Description: Write “College of Nursing Sciences Ophthalmic Nursing Program Form.”
- Amount to Pay: N15,000.
- Payer’s Details: Enter your full name, phone number, and a functional email address.
- Confirm all entries are correct and submit.
- Print the generated payment invoice and take it to any commercial bank to complete the payment.
Stage 2: Online Application Registration
Once you have your stamped Remita receipt from the bank, you can proceed with the online registration:
- Prepare your documents: Scan a recent passport photograph and your stamped Remita payment receipt.
- Visit the official portal: www.eyecenter.gov.ng.
- Navigate to the Home tab, click on “Education,” and select “College of Nursing Sciences, Ophthalmic Nursing Program.”
- Fill out the application form carefully and upload the required scans.
- Review your information and click Submit.
- Important: Print out your application summary.

Note: The date of the entrance examination will be communicated to the candidate subsequently, and the venue of the examination is the Lecture Theatre NEC, Kaduna. Candidate are expected to come with all their credential to the examination venue.
